History:

Founded in 1824, Downtown La Grange Kentucky is one of the few small towns left in America with a train running right through Main Street. As seen on HGTV’s Kickstart Program, leading it to become a popular tourist destination, allowing us to interact with people from around the globe who wish to visit the Kindness Capital of Kentucky.

"We are a non-profit organization committed to preserving the history and cultural heritage of downtown La Grange, fostering economic growth by creating a welcoming downtown." - La Grange Kentucky Main Street Program

What is the La Grange Main St. Program?

"Preserving History, Building Community"

Our Program, the La Grange Kentucky Main Street Program, is a non-profit organization that uses donation/sponsorships to keep our events (that further both our mission & vision) free where possible to make sure that all attendees, regardless of income, are able to enjoy them

Mission Statement:
La Grange Main Street’s mission is to sustain and grow the diversity, harmony, and economic vibrancy of the La Grange Main Street District.

Vision Statement:
To nurture and preserve a welcoming community in downtown historic La Grange.

Volunteers:

Volunteers are the backbone of our community, allowing the events to both be successful and affordable to all whom attend.

During our events we try to recognize our volunteers both verbally & through action with some token of our appreciation, like a meal voucher to our food trucks, or opportunity to join us on volunteer appreciation events that we occasionally are able to provide thanks to our generous sponsors/donors.
