Facade Grants
Facade Grants are available to assist in the continued preservation of the La Grange Historic Renaissance District and the La Grange Historic Districts, La Grange Crossroads District Main Street (LCD) will administer a grant program to assist building owners with façade renovation or repair. The goal of the program is to keep La Grange’s historic beauty intact, and to preserve the charm and history of the city.
There are two categories of grants available:
Category I- These grants provide reimbursement or payment for up to one third (1/3) of actual costs for basic maintenance or cosmetic items such as repainting or window replacement. It is expected that the total costs for such projects would be $3,000 or less, with the grant amounts not exceeding $1,000.
Category II- These grants are for more major renovations such as returning a façade to its historical appearance or for major structural repairs to maintain building integrity. The amount of Category II grants will vary, depending on the scope of the project and the availability of funds.
